Exceptional location surrounded by mountains and nature, nearby village and hiking possibilities. Close to Vierwaldstättersee/Luzern. No televisions, a peaceful experience. German-speaking majority, English-speaking staff. Good rooms, beds, and showers. Good food. Lovely breakfast with attentive service. Onsite parking. Terrace with mountain views.
Nothing I didn't like.

The fact that it has a terrace and guests can enjoy the view of the mountains as long as they want. This the only hotel we've been where we stayed after check out to appreciate nature. There are many wanderweg to be outdoors.
If only price can be lower . . . is there anything cheap in Switzerland?!!!!

Hidden Gem with Spectacular Views
Wow! What an amazing find! We stayed at a hotel outside of Lucerne and were a bit skeptical at first, but boy were we pleasantly surprised. The walk to the hotel was breathtaking with vines and flowers lining the pathway. The views from our room were simply incredible, overlooking the valley and lake. We had not one, but two balconies, giving us plenty of space to take in the stunning scenery. And who needs a TV when you have these amazing views to enjoy? The terrace at the back of the hotel was also a great spot to relax with a drink and soak in the beauty of the mountains. We couldn't believe we found this hidden treasure!
While our overall experience was fantastic, there were a few areas that could use some improvement. The hotel lacked certain conveniences like a cupboard in the room, which meant we had to make do with just a hanger bar.

We stayed at this charming hotel for a relaxing weekend getaway. The ride up to the hotel was breathtaking, surrounded by German alpine style chalets. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Each room had a fabulous view, making the need for a TV unnecessary. The modern part of the hotel was beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. It truly is a gem in the alps, perfect for those looking for a typical Swiss alpine experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more! The location, tranquility, and renovated facilities make it a top choice.

The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning! It was the perfect backdrop for our New Year's celebration. The beautiful landscape and scenery surrounding the hotel added to the overall charm of the experience. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
the lack of amenities in the room was noticeable. There was no TV or WiFi available, which made it difficult to relax and unwind in the evenings.

The location on the hill provided breathtaking views of the beautiful mountains in Lucerne. Additionally, the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had a pleasant experience. The breakfast offered a good variety of options, and I particularly appreciated the excellent service from the breakfast staff. The hotel's proximity to the capital of Obwalden and its accessibility to public transport made it even more convenient for exploring the area.

Great views and delicious food. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even keeping the restaurant open late for us. The dinner menu had a wide variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was enjoyable and the wine list was impressive. The hotel provides umbrellas and coats in case of rain, which was a nice touch. The rooms were cozy and had balconies with beautiful views of the valley below. a great place to stay.
The rooms were old and sparsely furnished. The parking was not located on-site but in the town, which was inconvenient.

Loved the peacefulness of the hotel, located in a serene setting with stunning views. Comfy rooms, though no modern facilities, there were binoculars that kept us entertained. the surrounding garden was a great spot to laze and soak in the sun.
The hotel seemed dated and had basic amenities, we missed having a TV and WiFi in our rooms. It was a long uphill walk from the car park, so would suggest carrying light luggage.
